Melbourne, Victoria, Australia – August 14, 2024
Corvanta was pleased to announce the launch of the groundbreaking Incident Response App at the CAA Congress held in Melbourne from 14-16 August 2024. This innovative app is designed to enhance the operational efficiency of frontline responders, providing a seamless extension to the robust Critical Communications Hub.
The Corvanta Incident Response application ensures mobility and CAD connectivity for paramedics, whether they are at the hospital, out locally, or rarely at the station.
Paramedics can receive full incident details, respond, and update their statuses from the station or hospital. This provides the service with full and accurate visibility of case cycle times, both in and out of the vehicle. The app can be configured to prompt paramedics at service-defined intervals, for example, to update their status to “ramped” for greater accuracy and reporting purposes. Additional statuses can be configured, and messages can notify operations of delays, such as cleaning or restocking after a cardiac arrest.
How the Incident Response App supports first-responders:
- Enhanced Connectivity and Communication: The app ensures constant connectivity between crew members and control rooms, streamlining communication and ensuring faster incident response. By reducing radio traffic, it allows for more efficient use of resources.
- Improved Crew Safety: With a built-in duress alarm, the app enhances crew safety, instantly alert the control room of potential safety threats on scene, at the coffee shop or at the station.
- Mobility and CAD Connectivity: Whether at the hospital, out locally, or rarely on station, the app provides mobility and CAD connectivity. Paramedics can receive full incident details, respond, and update their statuses from any location, providing full and accurate visibility of case cycle times.
- Configurable Status Updates: The app can be configured to prompt paramedics at service-defined intervals to update their status, such as ramped, for greater accuracy and reporting purposes.
- Improved Response Times: The app ensures immediate incident notification and the ability to acknowledge incidents from anywhere, reducing turn-out times and improving response time KPIs.
- Decreased Radio Traffic: By allowing direct communication with CAD without using voice, the app reduces radio traffic, maximising dispatcher and responder efficiency and availability.
- Visibility of Hospital Component of Case Cycle Time: Responders can update their status anywhere there is mobile coverage in the hospital, providing more accurate and granular times for hospital delays such as triage delays, ramping, and off-stretcher times.
- Secure and Auditable Communications: The app offers secure, auditable two-way communications with CAD, featuring enterprise-grade encryption and multi-factor authentication.
We’re committed to not just meeting customer needs but also anticipating and exceeding future service expectations. As part of this commitment, we are continuously enhancing our products and solutions, such as the application, as part of our product roadmap.
