At the forefront of innovation, Corvanta has introduced a groundbreaking feature to its Critical Communications Hub and Incident Response App: AI-powered CPG-informed treatment prompts.
This new capability is designed to support paramedics by reducing cognitive load and enhancing patient safety right from the moment of dispatch.
Corvanta Industry Consultant Han-Wei Lee, speaking at the CAA Congress in Adelaide, shared insights into how this innovation can support clinical care:
“Looking up multiple different pages on a CPG app and transcribing that information to a glove or a notepad is prone to error and can distract from assisting the emergency driver to clear intersections and so on.”
“What our AI treatment prompts essentially do is reduce cognitive load, and can reduce medication errors. They provide an automatic prompt that gives you patients weight and normal vital signs as well as the drug dose, and volume for the specific condition” he said.
This intelligent system integrates your agency’s CAD data, Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs), and a powerful AI engine, designed for mission-critical applications where accuracy and dependability are a must.
🎥 Watch Live Example: Responding to a Diabetic Child
In this live demonstration, Han-Wei walks through a scenario involving an 11-year-old male unconscious diabetic patient with blood glucose of 2.1 mmol/L .
Upon dispatch, the paramedic receives an instant prompt with the child’s estimated weight, and normal vital signs, correct insulin glucose dosage, and volume, and as per the clinical practice guidelines.
The AI-powered treatment prompts are now available on the Corvanta Incident Response App and Critical Communications Hub.
