Corvanta is pleased to announce the appointment of James McManus as the Managing Director of its Emergency Services business, effective immediately.

Mr McManus brings extensive industry experience, with almost twenty years of his career spent in out-of-hospital care, including roles at Ambulance Tasmania and Queensland Ambulance Service, ranging from a frontline clinician at the start of his career to healthcare executive leadership.

He most recently held a senior leadership position as the Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Operations at Ambulance Tasmania where he led and drove improvements in operational performance and sustainability.

McManus is now responsible for the Emergency Services business at Corvanta, where he leads an experienced and dedicated team to deliver technology that helps solve our customers’ current and future problems. He also maintains his healthcare registration (AHPRA and HCPC), ensuring he has the industry insights to demystify problems and provide innovative and well-informed solutions. 

McManus shared, “I’m thrilled to lead a team with great experience in delivering technology to out-of-hospital care providers and am excited to work with customers across a diverse range of ambulance services, including some of my old stomping grounds, to further accelerate the digital transformation of the industry”.

According to McManus, the industry should, “Keep an eye out for announcements from Corvanta relating to enhancements to our in-vehicle MDT, including artificial intelligence designed to detect and manage signs of fatigue, along with CAD-integrated Drone AED delivery”.
